Meet the team: Matthew Walton

We’re pleased to introduce Matthew Walton, Onboarding Manager, in the second of our new ‘Meet the Team’ interview series.

  • Q: What does your role entail?

I have been with Ochresoft for two years in August; I have experience working in Operations Management and Customer Success Management delivering software solutions to the world’s largest global FMCG companies.

I manage our Onboarding Team. My role involves working with our project managers and legal trainers to bring new customers on board and set them up to use Intelliworks.  The onboarding process varies depending on the size of the firm, however last year we were quoting up to an 8-week onboarding timeframe.  At the start of this year, we reduced this to a 4-week timescale, cutting the previous goal in half. Now we are working to one week where possible and we’ve had some great success with that already; last week, we signed a firm up, and five days later they were set-up with Intelliworks and fully operational.

I enjoy meeting with our clients, supporting them in optimising our solution and ensuring it is bringing the largest possible benefit to them.

  • Q: When considering your career at Ochresoft, what are you most proud of?

To reduce the onboarding process from 8 weeks to 1 week; it’s absolutely been a team effort across the board to reduce this. It has taken a lot of effort to adapt processes and the way we all work.  We were recently told by a customer that their previous CMS provider took 4 weeks just to get the sales paperwork agreed.  We can have firms running and ready to go in that time. I’m particularly proud and pleased with everyone’s efforts to make this possible.

  • Q: What do you most enjoy about working at Ochresoft?

The main thing is definitely the people; it’s really refreshing to work with such hard working and positive people. Everyone works together as a team – it’s open, honest and we all approach each other for help if needed.  There’s perhaps a fear when joining a company like Ochresoft, which is part of a larger group, that  you might lose the ‘family feel’, but far from it.  The close working relationships are there and we are very well looked after from a wellbeing point of view.

  • Q: When you are asked to explain what you do for a living, how do you sum-up your role with Ochresoft in one sentence?

I help get legal firms up and running with Intelliworks which is a legal case management specialist product that delivers business solutions and comprehensive workflows to law firms.

  • Q: Tell us an interesting fact about yourself

I have a real passion for running – I love doing this outside of work. During July I am taking part in a 100km race, which will see me running for 10 hours. I’m a little nervous about it as this is the furthest I have ever run.  I just love being out, in the middle of nowhere, amongst nature; it’s my escape and I love that. I’ve been training super hard for this, which will see me racing cross country along the Ridgeway national trail.
