Ochresoft, the legal workflow software specialist, has today announced the appointment of Solicitor and property industry stalwart, Robert Sanderson, as Managing Director. Sanderson takes over from founder Richard Bretherton, who has transitioned to the role of Chairman.
Prior to joining Ochresoft, Sanderson was the Chief Operating Officer of legal services business Cordery, the LexisNexis ABS that specialises in helping GCs manage compliance. Robert was appointed to lead the business’ incorporation and SRA authorisation, as well as represent the business as the Company Secretary, Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Compliance Officer for Finance & Administration.
Robert has also held roles with LMS, LexisNexis and Addleshaw Goddard, where he has procured and configured technology to streamline the delivery of legal services.
Confirms Robert Sanderson:
“For over 20 years, I have been involved with providing legal services and developing workflow solutions for the legal services sector and property markets across residential conveyancing, compliance and panel management. I look forward to using this experience to build on Richard Bretherton’s vision here at Ochresoft. I have demonstrated in several businesses how workflow can help improve compliance, customer service, reduce risk and ultimately improve profitability.
With Ochresoft being part of Landmark Information Group, which includes firms such as SearchFlow, ETSOS and Landmark, I am excited at working together to bring significant advantages to the way in which core legal services such as conveyancing are delivered.”
Adds Richard Bretherton:
“I am delighted to welcome Robert Sanderson to Ochresoft as the new Managing Director. He brings with him a great deal of experience in law, leadership and legal technology and is very well placed to lead the business’s future developments in line with the requirements of lawyers and private clients. In my new role as Chairman, I look forward to supporting the board of directors in the next phase of the company’s development.”
Bretherton confirmed that Viv Williams will be stepping down as Chairman but remaining with the business and he thanked him for his help and support.
