Ochresoft Team Spotlighting – Hema Hirani

Behind every conversation, partnership and opportunity at Ochresoft is a team of people who are passionate about helping law firms succeed. In this edition of our Team Spotlight, we’re getting to know Hema Hirani a little better.

Q: What’s your job title and what does it entail?

Business Development Director – Working with law firms across England and Wales to solve their compliance, productivity and efficiency problems.

Q: How did you end up in this sector, what drew you to it?

I was head hunted internally after providing supporting services to Ochresoft when I was working at SearchFlow. The main draws were around moving from one specific part of the property cycle to the complete house buying and selling process. Plus exposure to the private client sector was an exciting prospect – I enjoy learning new things!

Q: What do you most enjoy about working at Ochresoft?

The variety of people I deal with on a daily basis and helping them find what they’re seeking through our portfolio of services. The variety of my day is welcomed too, some days I’ll be out networking at events, conferences, awards dinners through to meeting with clients and working on various project from my home office. We have a lot on the go at any given time and it keeps me motivated.

Q: What excites you most about working with Conveyancers/Private Client Practitioners?

We’re at an exciting time for Conveyancing and Private Client practice. The market is seeing an explosion of technology designed to help firms work smarter, faster, and more efficiently. What excites me most is helping practitioners cut through the noise, identify solutions that genuinely add value, and use technology to improve both their client experience and day-to-day working lives.

Q: What are the biggest challenges you are seeing in the market right now?

Tech fatigue. Solicitors are being inundated with new tools, platforms, and AI solutions, all promising transformational results. The challenge isn’t finding technology, it’s identifying which solutions genuinely deliver value and integrate seamlessly into existing ways of working, rather than adding another layer of complexity.

Q: Where do you see the market heading in the next 6 months?

I expect to see even greater adoption of automation and AI across legal practices. The focus will shift from simply exploring these technologies to embedding them into everyday workflows, helping firms improve efficiency, enhance client service, and free up valuable time for higher-value legal work.
