What is it like to work at Ochresoft?

Ochresoft has been shortlisted for Best Place to Work, Legal Suppliers at the British Conveyancing Awards 2026, recognition that means a great deal to us because it reflects the culture, people and values we stand for.

To mark the occasion, we caught up with Helen Luty, Head of Customer Experience at Ochresoft, to talk about our people, our culture, and what makes Ochresoft a supportive place to work every single day.

We also wanted to share the perspective of someone new to the business. Courtney Ford, Customer Relationship Advisor, joined Ochresoft just a couple of months ago. Like many new starters, she was told what a supportive and welcoming place it was to work, and we asked her whether that experience has lived up to the expectations.

Here’s what Helen and Courtney had to say.

From your experience, what actually makes the biggest difference to employees day-to-day?

The biggest difference comes from knowing that, no matter what, you have the support of the team around you. We have your back! It’s something we are regularly able to celebrate; when the chips are down, everyone pulls together to deal with the situation that is occurring and helps find a resolution.

How do you support people to do their best work while also protecting wellbeing?

It’s important to us that we really know the people behind the job role. We know what motivates them and we can tell when things aren’t quite right. We have regular check in’s; we start the week sharing our plans and key events and we end the week reporting back on how it went. We also hold 121 meetings with our people every fortnight, so there are plenty of opportunities for temperature checks.

How do you make sure culture works for everyone, not just a few?

Our culture is non-negotiable, it’s who we are and how we treat each other. We start with honest and open communication, we encourage everyone to take part, hierarchy only plays a part when it needs to, we trust each other and importantly we encourage new ideas from the team. We love a social or a charity mission, showing that we enjoy being together outside of work too.

What did being shortlisted for Best Place to Work mean to you as a team?

Being shortlisted was a real moment of pride for the whole team. It recognised the culture we work hard to protect every day – supporting each other, being open, and pulling together when it matters. It reinforced that the way we treat one another genuinely makes Ochresoft a great place to work.

At interview, Courtney Ford, Customer Relationship Advisor at Ochresoft asked us what it was like to work at Ochresoft and we were happy to share our thoughts. She’s been with us a couple months now and we asked her, ‘has everyone’s words lived up to her expectations?’. Here’s what she has to say:

Since the day I started, everyone has been incredibly friendly and supportive. The team consistently lives up to the expectation of creating a positive, collaborative environment. I truly feel valued here, and I can honestly say that I love working for this company.

No matter how simple the question is, even if you ask it a hundred times, people are always willing to help without hesitation. The support, patience, and kindness shown by everyone make this a truly amazing place to work.

Final thoughts

As we look ahead to the awards ceremony, we’re grateful for our people, our culture, and the shared commitment that makes Ochresoft the place it is today. We’re looking forward to celebrating alongside colleagues, customers and peers from across the conveyancing sector at what promises to be a fantastic evening.

Best of luck to everyone shortlisted. It’s an achievement to be proud of.
